BIO
Born from Singapore, Singapore, Beth Cheong started living in Australia in 2010 and has continued her education here since then. She has since finished her Diploma of Visual Arts with TAFE Queensland, and has carried on to build her artwork. While she finds inspiration from older artists such as Gustav Klimt to J.C. Leyendecker, she is also fond of a diversity of modern day art. The wonder of storytelling is something that she aspires to emulate in her art. Beth’s work stretches into traditional medias but for the main part focuses on digital illustration and figurative drawing.

Besides the general education from high school art subjects and the diploma, she is largely self taught from over years of hobby practice and consumption of media through free time. It’s mostly indie comics and following game development artists.

In regards to her personal life, Beth is the second child of two from a Singaporean Chinese family.
(Hint: Her work may be heavily themed around the sense of belonging and diaspora troubles.)
